A journey to Moses Mountain (Jebel Musa), sacred to Christians, Muslims and Jews alike, done differently. Most tours climb at 2 a.m. in the cold and dark. We hike by day: past Moses’ Cave and Elijah’s Basin to lunch on the summit at 2,285m, with time for Saint Catherine’s Monastery and an English-speaking guide. Small group, real connection, one unforgettable day in Sinai.

Is this trip for you?
A great fit if you…
- Want to stand on the summit for sweeping views
- Are moved by history, faith and ancient sites
- Enjoy a longer hike with real payoff at the top
- Like having every detail organised for you
Good to know
- It’s a full day: back in Dahab between 6 and 8 PM, depending on how long the group stays
- If the group stays for the sunset, the last part of the way down is after dark: bring a headlamp
- On Fridays the monastery opens later, so Friday trips (private groups) meet at 8:45 instead of 7:45
- Minimum age 10; under 16 must travel with an adult
- Pets are not allowed
- Weak signal and rare internet connection for most of the trip
What to bring
Booking, payment and cancellation
How booking works
- Full payment is required to book — there’s no deposit option for day trips
- Cancel up to 48 hours before the trip for wallet credit, a new date, or a refund minus card fees (usually 1.5–3.5%); bookings stay open until 24 hours before
- 10% early-bird discount for bookings made at least 7 days before the trip
- Max 10 participants. If the stock is filled, the backorder option at checkout puts you on the waiting list
Refunds
- Within 48 hours of the trip your payment is already committed to booking our services, so cancellations, late arrivals and no-shows can’t be refunded
- Transfer fees are deducted from any refund
- You’re refunded in full if we postpone or cancel — for weather, too few participants, or other reasons on our side
- If you can’t be placed off the waitlist, you’re refunded (transfer fees apply) or credited towards a later trip
